Welcome to Alma. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Alma mobile application (the "App"), our website, and your participation in the Alma Club, including physical retreats and partner benefits (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Membership & Subscriptions

1.1. Account Tiers: Alma operates on a tiered access model. "Guest" accounts have limited access to digital features. "Citizen" (Premium) memberships unlock full digital access, physical event invitations, and partner perks.

1.2. Billing & Auto-Renewal: Premium memberships are billed on a recurrent basis (Monthly, Quarterly, Biannual, or Annual). By providing a payment method, you authorize us (via our third-party payment processor, Paystack) to charge your designated payment method for the subscription fee automatically at the start of each billing cycle.

1.3. Cancellations & Refunds: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your web dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing, but your Premium access will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. We do not offer prorated refunds for partially used subscription periods.

1.4. Right to Refuse Service: Alma membership is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right to review applications and may deny or revoke membership at our sole discretion to preserve the integrity and safety of our community.

2. The Alma App & Digital Content

2.1. License to Use: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

2.2. Intellectual Property: All content within the App—including "The Almanac" articles, digital membership cards, interface design, logos, and audio—is the exclusive property of Alma Wellness Haven Limited. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

2.3. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree not to share your account access with third parties.

3. Physical Retreats & Club Etiquette

3.1. Code of Conduct: Alma is a sanctuary. Members are expected to conduct themselves with respect, courtesy, and discretion at all physical retreats, partner locations, and digital community spaces. Harassment, disruptive behavior, or solicitation will not be tolerated.

3.2. Revocation of Membership: Violation of our Code of Conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination of your membership without a refund.

3.3. Event Booking & Cancellation: Specific terms regarding booking, attendance, and cancellation for Alma physical retreats will be provided at the time of booking. Alma reserves the right to alter event venues, dates, or programming within the FCT or other specified locations due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. Partner Perks & The "Live Pass"

4.1. Redemption Rules: Premium members are granted access to exclusive discounts at our partner establishments (e.g., spas, cafes). To redeem these perks, members must present the active, pulsing "Live Pass" within the Alma App to partner staff.

4.2. Anti-Fraud Policy: Screenshots, printed copies, or screen recordings of the Live Pass are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted by our partners.

4.3. Non-Transferability: Partner perks are strictly for the account holder. Attempting to share your Live Pass or account with non-members to secure partner discounts is grounds for immediate account termination.

4.4. Partner Autonomy: Alma negotiates perks on behalf of our members, but partner services are provided directly by third-party businesses. Alma is not liable for the quality of service, availability, or any disputes arising at a partner's facility.

5. Health & Wellness Disclaimer

5.1. Not Medical Advice: The information provided through the Alma App, including "The Almanac", habit tracking, and retreat activities, is for general wellness, educational, and informational purposes only.

5.2. No Provider-Patient Relationship: Alma is not a healthcare provider. Our content should not be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified physician or healthcare professional regarding any medical conditions, dietary changes, or before beginning a new fitness or wellness regimen.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alma Wellness Haven Limited, its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including physical injury or emotional distress arising from your use of the Services, participation in physical retreats, or reliance on any wellness information provided.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
